Rules and Regulations
1.Exhibitors must be age 9 – 18 by September 30, 2010
2.All classes will be divided by hip height or weight.No limit on the number of steers per exhibitor.If steers overlap in a class then may be shown by another junior exhibitor.
3.Open Progressive Steer Show is open to all other counties and states.
4.Each exhibitor will be issued 1 pass to the fair grounds.
5.Judge's decision is final.
6.All steers must be secured with a halter and necktie.
7.All cattle must have an approved Health Certificate signed within 30 days by an accredited veterinarian showing that the cattle are free from contagious diseases.All out-of-state cattle must comply with interstate shipping regulations and have an approved Health Certificate.Health Certificates will be checked by Show Superintendent or designee.
8.All bedding will be provided by the Augusta County Fair.
9.Exhibitor will be required to maintain their respective area in a reasonably clean and orderly condition at all times.Please leave stalls as you found them.Also keep aisles clean at all times.
10.The storage of excessive hay, feed and straw will not be permitted in the barns.
11.The assignment of stall and tack space will be made by the Beef Committee.
12.No smoking in the barns.
13.Any animal, which in the opinion of the Beef Committee, constitutes a hazard must be removed from the grounds.
14.Any steer found to be in violation of the rules of the show will be required to leave the fair grounds and forfeit any premiums!
15.Ethical treatment of the animals is required and expected.
Entry fee: $15 per head and $20 per head for entries received after July 31, 2010.
